About a year ago (2004), we noticed a need for some way for real estate investors in the Carolinas to interact with other investors and the general public through a website that would be free and easy to use. There was, and is also a need for a central point on the web where anyone interested in any aspect of real estate investing could learn and stay informed about the world of the investor.

REITIMES.COM aims to allow its members to easily

• Talk to other investors through private and public forums
• Get answers from experts in the fields of accounting, investing, law, etc
• Read articles and news about real estate
• Post any property they have for sale or rent
• Post any building materials they have for sale
• Post any appliances they may want to sell
• Post any financing they have available to others

All postings will remain on the website until deleted by their owner.

Also, if our members are looking for a specific property, building material, appliance or financing, they will be able to post them online for all the world to see. Best of all, all this is theirs for free.

We welcome listings from real estate brokerage companies. However, it should be kept in mind that our members are usually interested in properties that will allow them to make a profit.

All the above services are ABSOLUTELY FREE to all users of the website. We intend to keep the site going by requesting sponsorship and advertising from companies involved in any aspect of real estate.

The Asheville/Hendersonville edition of Reitimes.com went live in October 2005. The Greenville/Spartanburg will be unveiled at the Upstate CREIA (a Greenville, SC association of real estate investors) on January 16, 2006.

Other websites will be rolled out every few months in the following order: Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston, Wilmington, Winston-Salem and Columbia. We intend to serve Tennessee and Georgia within a year.
